General Substance Use and Opioids

Social workers play a pivotal role when it comes to substance abuse and opioid treatment. Social workers not only focus on addressing people’s health but are able to see the larger scope involved in the care, including treatment options, the right level of care, access to facilities, and a support group.

This package will cover an array of topics related to substance use and opioid treatment, including addiction models, evidence-based treatments, relapse prevention strategies, patient confidentiality, and the provider’s role in recovery. The package offers over 15 online CE hours and completion certificates from the Association of Social Work Boards.
