This package has been reviewed and approved by the Kentucky Office of Dementia Services and meet the mandatory six (6) hours of initial dementia training as required by KRS216.9375 and KRS 216.713 for all direct-care staff members of Home Health and Personal Services Agencies who provide care to recipients who exhibit symptoms of Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. This course bundle offers 6 clock hours of training that must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment.

This bundle covers topics pertinent to direct-care staff members who provide care to recipients who exhibit symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias including: Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and dementia-related behaviors and communications.
