This course provides physical therapy professionals in post-acute care settings with an overview of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, and musculoskeletal systems impacted by COVID-19, and the subsequent impact on clinical presentation and function. Evidence-based outcome measures to evaluate and progress patients are reviewed. Case studies demonstrate best practices for PTs/PTAs to manage these conditions. This course teaches physical therapy professionals the multi-system impact of the COVID-19 virus and how to adjust their plan of care to promote both patient safety and successful outcomes.
