This course provides a deeper dive into the specific skills, competencies, and responsibilities of the behavioral health interpreter. It briefly explains the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services, also known as CLAS, standards and how interpreters can incorporate these into the services they provide. Specific skills and interventions to facilitate the assessment and treatment process are discussed, as well as ways to overcome common challenges that arise in behavioral health settings.
