When you think of normal aging, what comes to mind? Gray hair, forgetfulness, wrinkles, and achy joints? Those all are a part of the normal aging process that older adults go through, along with normal changes to the brain that do not result in dementia. Therefore, in order to provide the appropriate care to people, you need to be able to determine what is normal aging and what is dementia. This course discusses the differences between normal aging and dementia. It also discusses the different types of dementia and symptoms associated with each one.
