Older adults may need assistance with bathing. The activity of bathing can be both physically and emotionally exhausting to the individual being bathed and the caregiver performing the bath. This course will discuss why older adults may resist taking a bath and what types of behaviors the individual may display. It also discusses the safety concerns related to bathing an individual who may display behaviors and gives helpful hints to dealing with these behaviors.

The goal of this course is to educate direct care workers in post-acute care settings on safely bathing a difficult individual.
