These courses will provide foundational knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioral concepts, social skill strategies and best practices when transitioning adults into post-secondary options. Completion of these courses is required to earn the Autism Specialization Credential. The Autism Specialization Credential was created to expand the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), Division for Rehabilitation Services (DRS), delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to consumers with disabilities that create barriers to obtaining or maintaining employment, specifically consumers with developmental disabilities.
